Swarovski has taken the leap towards livestreaming by hosting virtual shopping events at its stores. The jewellery giant joins mega brands like Samsung and L’Oreal to venture into the digital space in a bid to interact and engage with its audience.
The new retail technology offered by Swarovski extends a virtual shopping experience to its customers by taking them in-store. The visiting customers can connect directly with sales consultants through their mobile or desktop devices.
The virtual shopping experience allows customers and sales staff to ‘work-from-home’ while also interact in a way that would occur inside a store. This technology has enabled Swarovski to engage with its customers at a time when opening stores might not seem feasible. Through this technology, Swarovski is able to retain its sales staff while also attempting to generate sales by providing the shoppers with an alternate solution to physically visiting the store.
Swarovski announced the feature stating “Together with Go Instore, we have have successfully launched our ‘Go-In-Store’ project in Australia, where customers can ‘Shop Live’ and connect to our sales consultants in-store from both their desktop or mobile device. Our aim was to build a connection online and ensure a personalized experience through a live video chat. And there’s more in the pipeline. Stay tuned!”
The experience is free to join, however, is currently available only in Australia.
